Adult community day support · Stafford, Virginia

Your community. Your choices. Your possibilities.

Enable Support Services is developing community-based day support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities — support that helps each person learn, connect and take part in the places they choose.

Welcome

Support that starts with the person.

Enable Support Services, LLC is a new provider based in Stafford, Virginia. We are preparing a day support program for adults that takes place out in the community, not in a center.

Our intended approach is simple: each adult decides what matters to them, and a direct support professional (DSP) walks alongside them — helping them build skills, make connections and participate with confidence.

Program focus areas

What the planned program is designed to support

  • Community participation

Taking part in everyday places — libraries, shops, events and volunteer settings — as a valued member of the community.

  • Practical everyday skills

Building confidence with real-life tasks such as making purchases, planning a day or finding your way around.

  • Relationships and communication

Practicing communication and growing social connections in ways that feel natural and comfortable.

  • Self-advocacy and choice

Expressing preferences, making decisions and speaking up for what matters to you.

These are areas of focus within one planned community engagement program, not separate services.

Person-centered approach

You lead. We support.

Adults have the right to make their own choices. Enable's planned support is built around each person's interests, strengths, preferences and individual plan — never a one-size-fits-all schedule.

  • Your preferences guide the day. Activities reflect what you enjoy and want to learn.
  • Your strengths come first. Support builds on what you already do well.
  • Your plan, your goals. Activities connect to the goals in your individualized plan.
  • Your people are included. Families, chosen supporters and support coordinators are part of the conversation when you want them to be.
